OUR HISTORY
In 2006, Faith, Hope and Love Family Worship Center Church (FHL) was established by Pastors Ricky and Tria Hunt. The Hunt family relocated out of Wisconsin shortly after establishing FHL, and the church was then Pastored by Harold E. Rayford, previously a lifelong member of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral in Fort Worth, Texas under the tutelage of Bishop Richard E. Young. Within five years the church had outgrown the initial place of worship and in 2011 sold its land and relocated to an 8,000 square foot warehouse and began the renovation project to convert it into one of the most beautiful churches in Dane County. In 2013, Faith, Hope and Love Family Worship Center Church would be renamed The Faith Place.

In October 2019, District Elder James Hawkins was chosen as the new Senior Pastor for The Faith Place from a nationwide list of candidates. District Elder Hawkins’ formal training was earned through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (formerly United Pentecostal Church International). Pastor Hawkins is also a District Elder over the state of Nevada. In 1996, Pastor Hawkins started preaching in Toledo, Ohio. By 1998, Pastor Hawkins had started a grassroots ministry, Higher Praise Christian Center. He served there as Pastor for 14 years. Pastor Hawkins has an extensive background launching ministries, nonprofits and 501c3 businesses through credit restoration and IRS rules and regulations. Pastor Hawkins most recently spent eight years in Indianapolis preaching at Christ Church Apostolic.
